After Snohomish race, I also signed up the races (5K, 10k and 21K) in Arizona. The 21K Beast with 30 obstacles was in the morning on Saturday. My body was hurting after the Beast but I was still mobile. On Sunday prior to the 10K I felt much better than the night prior. The 10 K was in the morning on Sunday and 5 K was in the afternoon. After I complete the weekend warier Trifecta I was really beat up! I can only moving slowly and doing lots of icing and taking some supplements to help me recover. We flew home the next day and I started seeing patients on Tuesday! It was definitely not easy but my body recovered!
During the Thanksgiving weekend, I ran the Seattle Marathon 26.2 miles! I had runner's knee at mile 12. My left knee pretty much locked up. I can only fast walk or light jog with minimal knee flexion. I was able to finish the race. It was definitely a great physical and mental challenge. That was quite an experience.
In retrospect I definitely need to do more regular training to get ready for the distance running and obstacle races. Regular chiropractic adjustment and nutrition supplement is a must pre and post races. I have not sign up any race yet but hopefully I will do that again soon. In the mean time I am doing regular running and lifting weights to keep my body in good shape. #activespines #spartan #seattlemarathonActive Spines Chiropractic in Bellevue WA Keeps Your Spine Active and Pain Free!
